REQUIREMENTS

Residential Requirements

Overseas students enrolling at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School must reside with a parent or direct relative who is over the age of 25. The parent/immediate relative must live full time in Sydney while the student attends Glenaeon.

Please note, Glenaeon does not use home stay placements nor do we have boarding facilities.

Overseas Student Enrolment Requirements

Glenaeon may or may not enrol an overseas student depending on space available in the class, the willingness of the family/student to support the school's values, and the student's academic achievement. Glenaeon is not a selective school, but must be able to support all newly enrolling students fully.

Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School welcomes overseas students and understands that an overseas student must be able to satisfactorily cope with the academic program and participate fully in the life of the School. Therefore, in addition to the above, Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School requires that any Overseas Student fulfil the following prerequisites for enrolment:

Students wishing to commence studies at Glenaeon must provide copies of their last two school reports (in English) and be continuing their studies without a break. They must also provide referral letters (in English) from two of their current teachers. One of these should be their English teacher.

*Students entering Australia with their parents and beginning their studies in Kindergarten to Year 6 must have ESL proficiency at Intermediate Level or above, achieving 40+ in an AEAS language test.Students wishing to commence at Glenaeon in Years 7 - 10 must have ESL proficiency at the Upper

*Intermediate Level or above, achieving 70+ in an AEAS language test.

*Students wishing to commence at Glenaeon in Year 11 must have ESL proficiency at the Advanced Level or above, achieving 80+ in an AEAS language test.

Applicants will need to provide evidence of this achievement and can sit for language testing through Australian Educational Assessment Services (AEAS) or an equivalent.
